Removal of Flux Residues – FERROUS METALS – Flux residues can be removed with a hot water wash and mechanical cleaning with a wire brush On certain applications – due to the workpiece, size or shape – it may be necessary to use a weak solution (5%) of hydrochloric acid. COPPER ALLOYS – Use 10-15% sulphuric acid solution. Aluminium ALLOYS – Immerse work piece in a 10-20% caustic soda solution for approximately one minute PLEASE NOTE When using chemicals ensure that all parts are thoroughly washed after treatment
